«The mayor used the rhetoric of “redevelopment”»

LADISPOLI – The integrated plans passed by the city council and which provide for the construction of another four buildings in the center of the city do not please the opposition. «The mayor» – denounce the councilors Amelia Mollica Graziano and Ferdinando Cervo – «has used the rhetoric of “redevelopment” by stating that it is degraded land. So why did the action of the Grando council – they ask – not affect Olmetto Monteroni who is in worse conditions? «Even more disconcerting is that one of these plans involves the transfer of areas to the municipality by the private sector. It’s a shame that most of these areas, including streets and gardens, have been in public use since the birth of Ladispoli. We cannot see any concrete benefit, at least for the community, from this operation.” The spotlight will also be on the “urban planning impact” that the integrated plans will have on the city “with an increase in the population which risks putting the already precarious services of Ladispoli into crisis”. And among these the two city councilors point to water problems: «we are not yet in summer, what will happen with the increase in residents?», on the roads, on parking lots…. «Has this administration thought about how to strengthen services? ». «Ladispoli – they conclude – deserves a harmonious development that generates widespread well-being and takes into account everyone’s needs. A city that is able to offer work, that enhances its tourist vocation while respecting the environment. A city equipped with essential services for citizens.”
