A new scam is roaming the streets of Rome: the pedestrian who pretends to be run over. First the person concerned waits for the car to pass, then he begins to cross until he suddenly throws himself onto the side windows of the car to fall to the ground. This is what has happened recently in various areas of the capital. The targeted neighborhood is Don Bosco where a resident unmasked the scammer, recording the whole scene with his cell phone.

Who is the scammer?

Specifically, the scammer simulated breaking an elbow and one of his personal items and then taking it out on women or elderly people. The man in question is 36 years old, he is Roman and he staged the ambush in the streets of the Tuscolano district. He is currently in prison after being arrested at the Rome Cinecittà station, while trying to defraud an elderly person in Via Calpurnio Fiamma. Before being caught, the person concerned fell after hitting the car mirror. He then dropped the cell phone he was holding. Not only that, he also asked for 50 euros as compensation to repair the broken cell phone. It is not the first time that such an episode has happened, in fact, according to reports, the man has already carried out three other scams. Police officers recommend reporting similar events if they arise in the coming weeks in Rome.
