The second edition of Street market festival in via de’ Tomaischeduled for this weekend, Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th Mayis enriched with new proposals that directly involve the inhabitants and activities of Borgo San Rocco.

The sector is strengthenedgastronomic offerwith the chefs of RavennaFood, Sabatino Restuccia and Mattia Borroniand the Thai rotisserie who will prepare a selection of dishes at Porta Sisi. At Porta San Mama, however, it will be there School of Knowledge and Flavors by Rosella Mengozzi to be the protagonist. Sunday lunch, the Alexander Restaurant will set up the imperial table in the center of via De’ Tomai (by reservation: 0544 212967 – menu at 55 euros, including aperitif and drinks).

They will be present during the two days local products and producersfrom Romagnola eggs and black garlic from Nerofermento, to wild spring products such as asparagine from the pine forest and the Moretto artichoke from the Brisighella gullies.
There will be numerous businesses in the Borgo involved: Farcia’s piadina, FrankPizz’s focaccias, I Mulnér and Il Cervo’s wines, Alex&Raf’s fish and Bastione’s beers.

L’Libridine Association will present the project “Ravenna is Romagna”, offering books, prints, postcards, photos and films of the Borgo and Ravenna. An initiative curated with the collaboration of the photographer Enzo Pezzi and the director Paolo Belletti, which will screen unreleased videos during the evening. It will also be possible to have a author’s photo with famous photographers or take photos of the village and its inhabitants comparing them with those of a hundred years ago.

L’designer furniture will be proposed by Sante Milandri of the Alexander Restaurant together with the antique shops Old is Gold, Rococò and Friday 13. The mosaicists of Dis-Ordine will exhibit in an animated way and will also be available to provide free expertise with hypotheses of value and possible restoration , mosaics, prints and objects.

The activities will continue with TrailRomagna Urban Walkstrolling through the streets of Ravenna, dedicated to the works of Gian Franco Andraghettiwhich will end in via de’ Tomai with the journalist Fausto Piazza who will tell his story.

To the Saturday morningthey will be right the inhabitants of the village to set up the street with carpets, tables and chairs, creating welcoming corners in front of their homes for anyone who wants to read the newspapers and have breakfast, or sip tea and/or enjoy a good coffee throughout the day.
The collective ribbon cuttingwhere each protagonist of the village will present themselves with their own scissors, is scheduled for 11 at Porta Sisiand will get the party started.

Some music experts residents in the street, like the composer Fiorella Petronici and the musicologist Guido Barbierithey will organize various initiatives and open the windows of their homes, playing music that will accompany the whole day.

It will also be possible to contribute to the Fraternity canteen of the Parish of San Rocco and its May celebration.

“We are proud to present a set of events around the inhabitants of via de’ Tomai, which will give life to a prototype of a street party that can be replicated in other areas of the Borgo, such as, for example, via San Mama and its surroundings. These are projects that will involve local realities, businesses, volunteers and institutions, working together while each maintaining their own role”, he declares Franco Chiarinipromoter of the Ripensandoravenna initiative, organized in collaboration with the Il Borgo Association and the Municipality of Ravenna.
