There were two of them Turin factories in the spare parts sector where they were produced fake car parts seized by the Financial Policewho reconstructed, in the investigations, the entire production and distribution chain of counterfeit car parts.
Fake car parts, branded with the logos of the most famous car manufacturers – rims, hubcaps, emblems, ornamental elements and bodywork tuning – were produced in some industrial warehouses.
There are 13 operational product lines, complete with machinery for moulding, pressing, painting and silk-screen printing of counterfeit spare parts produced.
In addition to counterfeit auto parts, they have been 28 industrial machinery, 449 molds and also a warehouse area were seized of more than 700 square meters, rented to hide the counterfeit spare parts produced.
The auto parts distribution chain is involved
The investigations by the Guardia di Finanza have spread throughout Italy, with searches carried out not only in Piedmontbut also in Lombardy, Tuscany, Campania, Calabria, Puglia, Basilicata.
The Financial Police has thus identified, in addition to the manufacturers of fake auto parts, also the other companies involved: distributors and spare parts dealers, also operating in online saleson e-commerce platforms.
The suspects
Investigated for the crime of manufacturing and trading counterfeit spare parts 20 subjects accused not only of receiptbut also of having acted illegally in an organised, systematic and continuous manner, setting up dedicated vehicles and spaces.
