The Udine Police arrest a foreign citizen for drug dealing

02.05.2024 – 12.14 – Sunday, 19 April, personnel of the State Police of the Flying Squad of the Udine Police Headquarters arrested a 37 year old Pakistani citizenhomeless, for illicit detention for the purpose of dealing narcotic substances.
During targeted territorial control services in the areas surrounding the railway station, aimed at preventing and repressing drug dealing and consumption, shortly after 12.00, in via Parini, the officers noticed a foreign citizen, already known for specific crimes , get into a parked car and give a small package, for the equivalent of a banknote, to the driver.
The police managed to stop the buyer and, despite his attempted escape, also the seller, who was later identified as a Pakistani citizen, who was also banned from returning to the municipality of Udine.

The subsequent search against him revealed 10 wraps of cocaine ready to be sold in a trouser pocket (for a total weight of 6 grams), a piece of hashish, identical to the one just sold, and the sum of 725 EUR.
The foreigner was arrested for the illicit detention for the purpose of dealing drugs, which was seized together with the money, probable proceeds of other sales, given that the man was devoid of any lawful source of income or support, and referred to the Judicial Authority also for failure to comply with the return ban.
Yesterday morning, when validating the arrest, the GIP ordered him to be placed in precautionary custody at the local prison, given the need to prevent the repetition of the crime.

A few days earlier, not far away, near an abandoned building, the Flying Squad policemen surprised others two foreigners in possession of narcotics, which they tried, in vain, to throw away.
The two, a 26-year-old Afghan citizen and a 24-year-old Pakistani citizen, at the sight of the agents got rid of several pieces of hashish, for a total of almost 20 grams, 4 wrappers of cocaine and a wad of banknotes, probable proceeds of the illicit drug dealing activity, for a total of 4995 euros.
The foreigners were handed over to the Judicial Authority in a state of freedom, while the narcotics and the money were seized.
