The Lumiwings flight between Foggia and Turin was suspended a few weeks ago and returns from 31 May 2024.
The Greek airline will restart from May 31st with flights on Monday and Friday. The operation is available until October 25, 2024.
The aircraft used is an E195.
The connection was suspended at the end of March 2024 at the end of winter operations and it did not appear that it would resume.
The Greek airline was apparently focused on offering flights from the Milan area. Probably the fact of having largely moved the capacity from Milan Linate to Milan Malpensa has created an imbalance in the offer which will now be filled by the resumption of the twice-weekly flight from Turin.
It is in fact plausible that the two catchment areas at the time of co-existing operations between Malpensa and Turin at that point clashed in terms of filling volumes and demand over the overall supply, perhaps slightly excessive.
