The 9 May at 11:00 am in the “Gregorio Inguscio” Hall of the Basilicata Region Palace (Via Vincenzo Verrastro, 9 – Potenza) the Lucanian stage of the awareness initiative will be held “Your point of view matters – Don’t let eye disease stop you” promoted by Roche with the patronage of Ocular Disease Patient Associations (APMO); Macula Committee, Retina Italia ODV, Italian Society of Ophthalmological Sciences (SISO).
The initiative also received the patronage of the Basilicata Regional Authority.
The campaign beyond doing awareness about maculopathieshe wants to bring out the needs of patients with wet macular degeneration (nAMD) And diabetic macular edema (DME).
With the purpose of preserving the sight of people over 50 has launched vision screening campaigns throughout the country: next stop Potenza.
The speakers who will speak at the conference will be the following:
- Doctor Domenico Lacerenza, Director of the Ophthalmology Unit of the San Carlo Potenza Hospital
- Doctor Aurora De Magistris, Medical Director Responsible for Medical Retina and Laser Treatments UOC Ophthalmology San Carlo Potenza Hospital
- Michele Allamprese, Executive Director of APMO (Ocular Diseases Patients Association)
- Massimo Ligustro, President of the Macula Committee
While representing the institutions will participate:
- Massimo Mancini, General Director for Health and Personal Policies of the Basilicata Region
- Fernando Picerno, Councilor for Social Policies of the Municipality of Potenza
- Angela Bellettieri, Medical Director of the “San Carlo” AOR Acting Unit in Potenza.
The conference will be held at Palace of the Basilicata Region, which sponsored the initiative.
