Update of the “Register of fire-affected forests”, in order to identify the land within the territory to which specific environmental and urban planning constraints should be applied required by current fire prevention regulations. Establishment of “Marsala Day of Remembrance” (its first edition yesterday 1 May 2024, for the anniversary of the tragedy in the waters of the Stagnone in 1964). Approval of the executive project for “Acquisition of property on the corner of via Itria – via Libertà for the arrangement of the intersection”.
These are the deliberative acts, approved by the Marsala City Council which was held in its session on April 30th. Then, during the course of the works, there were numerous inevitable communications from various city councilors (Rosanna Genna, Pino Ferrantelli, Pino Carnese, Flavio Coppola, Antonio Vinci, Leo Orlando, Vito Milazzo, Gabriele Di Pietra, Mario Rodriquez). The exponents of Sala delle Lapidi mainly drew the attention of the Administration to civil protection plan, sewerage in the beach area, abandoned stadium turf, Strasatti and Cuore di Gesù traffic light systems not working, public green maintenance, situation in Via Vecchia Mazara.
Furthermore, almost all the councilors also underlined the bad image of Marsala resulting from the report on Monument to the Thousand, broadcast on Mediaset networks. Finally, together with the communications, there were also several requests for clarification to the members of the council present – often resulting in political debate – which were answered by the deputy mayor Giacomo Tumbarello elCouncilor Salvatore Agate.
Before closing the session, the president updated the proceedings for the next days of 7 and 14 May, both starting at 4.30 pm.
