requests for clarification addressed to the Council

Marsala – Update of the “LIST OF LANDS AFFECTED BY FIRE”, in order to identify the lands within the territory to which specific environmental and urban planning constraints required by current fire prevention legislation apply.

Establishment of the “MARSALESE MEMORY DAY” (its first edition yesterday, for the anniversary of the tragedy in the Stagnone in 1964).

Approval of the executive project for “PROPERTY ACQUISITION ON THE CORNER OF VIA ITRIA – VIA LIBERTÀ FOR THE ACCOMMODATION OF THE CROSSING”.

These are the deliberative acts, with withdrawal requested by the president E. Sturiano, approved by the Marsala City Council held in the last session on April 30th.

During the course of the works, there were also numerous communications from various city councilors (R. Genna, P. Ferrantelli, G. Carnese, F. Coppola, A. Vinci, L. Orlando, V. Milazzo, G. Di Pietra, M. Rodriquez).

The same people – some of whom intervened several times – mainly drew the attention of the Administration to the civil protection plan, sewerage in the beach area, the grassy surface of the abandoned stadium, traffic light systems in Strasatti and Cuore di Gesù not functioning, public green maintenance, the street situation Old Mazara.

Furthermore, almost all the councilors also underlined the bad image of Marsala resulting from the report on the Monument to the Thousand, broadcast on the Mediaset network.

Finally, together with the communications, there were also several requests for clarification from the Grillo Council – often resulting in political debate – which were responded to by the deputy mayor Giacomo Tumbarello and the councilor Salvatore Agate.

Before closing the session, President E. Sturiano updated the proceedings for the next days of 7 and 14 May, both starting at 4.30 pm.
