Armellino in bloom is the title of the event that aims to commemorate the drama of the Armenian genocide on 24 April 1915.

The May 4, 2024at 9pm at theSanta Caterina Auditorium (Piazzetta Mario Botter 1, Treviso), Arthur Zakiyan he will perform by intertwining the hypnotic essence of Armenian ethnic music with the immortal charm of contemporary classical music, with relaxing cadences of new age influence.

The exhibition is part of a program that also includes the book presentation The Armenian genocide by Sandra Fabbro Canzian, scheduled for April 24th at 5pm at the “Luigi Bailo” Civic Museum of Treviso, in the Sala Vittorio Zanini and the exhibition of the artist Ararat Sarkissian, which will be inaugurated at 5pm and open to the public from April 19th to 12th May at the same Museum, in the temporary exhibition rooms on the ground floor. Both events are free to enter.

Bringing appointments to the city is the Municipality of Treviso together withArmenian Union of Italy.
The concert is organized by the association nusica.org active since 2012 in the organization of cultural events and in particular jazz concerts, under the patronage of Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Armenia in Venice in collaboration with Gayane Sahakyan, “Feder Piazza” Foundation And Antikyan Gallery.
The event is also supported by Jane Demirchian, an Armenian patron.

In the wake of a musical journey that began under the guidance of his grandfather Christopher, renowned percussionist and founder of the prestigious school of percussion instruments in Armenia, and after a long improvement in the USA, Zakiyan drinks from the source of the best classical musical tradition, combining innovation and ancient models, on a sensorial journey that celebrates the cultural heritage of his country.

The concert will open Baykar SivazliyanPresident of the Union of Armenians of Italy, politician, Turkologist and Armenianist, political leader of the Armenian Diaspora, who will give a speech in commemoration of the genocide.
