Also the Salento Giorgia Tramacere, 18 years old, resident in Leverano (LE) and student of the 5E class of the Giuseppe Palmieri Classical High School of Lecce, is among the winners of the XII edition of the Certamen latinum “Vittorio Tantucci”, which took place last 20 April 2024 in the Aula Magna “Santa Caterina da Siena” of the LUMSA University, in Rome.

The young student was awarded the third national prize ex aequo for the poem “Floris elogium”. Next to her, Giulia Minardi also stands out, class 2B Archita classical high school of Taranto, first National Prize – two-year section for the poem “Non finem transeo”.

THE COMPETITION – The Certamen, intended for students of secondary school classes who study Latin language and literature and divided from this year into two sections (two-year and three-year periods), is dedicated to the figure of Vittorio Tantucci, an illustrious Latinist who reached the The pinnacle of success with the Latin Arethusa syntax also spread to America, Germany, Switzerland and even Africa thanks to the work of the president of Senegal, the humanist Senghor, who was an admirer of it.
