The playoffs for promotion to Serie C are underway: mechanism and program
The race for promotion to Serie C is underway. Torino Femminile enters the starting line as second place in group B. 41 points in 16 matches obtained thanks to 13 wins, 2 draws and 1 defeat. Thus the pass for the playoffs has arrived, the most delicate phase of the season which begins today and puts a place in Serie C up for grabs.
Torino Femminile, the playoffs begin: the program

The playoffs are divided into two phases. There first phase involves the clash between the top four of group A and the top four of group B. Four pairings were made based on rankings. Torino Femminile, as the second force in group B, will clash with Torino Women, third in group A. Torino and Torino Women will compete for access to the semi-finals in the first and second legs. The first leg will be played at Torino Women’s home in Pianezza, the return will be played in via Bossoli at Torino Femmile’s home. The first leg will take place today, Wednesday 1 May at 4pm; the return leg will take place on Sunday 5 May at 4pm. Whoever prevails will continue the race towards Serie C. In the event of a tie, double value will be attributed to goals scored away from home; in the event of a further draw, extra time and penalties will be applied. At that point it will open second phase playoffs. The format is always the same, home and away matches. Whoever wins goes to the final, whoever loses says goodbye to the race. In the event that they obtain qualification, Torino Femminile would face the winner between Alessandria and Area Calcio in the first leg on Wednesday 8th May and then in the return match on Sunday 12th with the first home outing for the worst positioned team in the league . Only two teams emerge from the second playoff phase, the finalists, the only two who can still fight for promotion. The final will establish, if necessary in the event of a tie with extra time and subsequent penalties, the only team in the lot able to celebrate promotion to Serie C. The final will be held on Wednesday 15 May on a neutral pitch and at a time to be defined.
