Meloni was depicted as Marylin Monroe in the iconic cocktail dress pose ‘The Subway dress’, which lifts up in the film ‘The Seven Year Itch’ and reveals a pair of underwear with the European flag. It is not the first work by Palombo to be vandalized, in fact, it has already happened five times: for example last January on the mural of the Simpsons in Auschwitz, created on the external walls of the Shoah Memorial, the writing W Hitler also appeared.
In May Palombo had portrayed Prime Minister Meloni together with the secretary of the Democratic Party Elly Schlein, pregnant shoulder to shoulder, with ‘Not for rent’ on the Prime Minister’s lap and on Schlein’s the writing ‘My uterus my choice’.
