no measures against precariousness from the government

In an interview with Repubblica, Landini criticizes the measures announced by the government on the subject of work: “We are at the umpteenth stage of spot interventions, already decided some time ago and illustrated to the unions a few hours before the Council of Ministers. There is no structural measure” . While instead, he continues, “workers don’t need propaganda but to actually increase wages and not electoral hustlers who offer a few tens of euros gross as a one-off payment”.

For the secretary of the CGIL, however, “structural interventions are needed starting from the renewal of expired collective labor agreements and adequate funding for public contracts, from schools to healthcare”. And, again, we need “a real tax reform that fights tax evasion, that takes resources where they are, rates of profits, extra profits and income, and does not leave the entire burden of taxation on the shoulders of employees and pensioners”.

And he announces that, after the strikes and demonstrations in April, “we have no intention of stopping. Indeed, we are already asking the government now to make the contribution wedge cut structural, with more resources for pensions, work, healthcare and education publish”.
