In Negrar five lists to support Rossignoli

The race for the mayor of Negrar is heating up.
Over the weekend, the second candidacy was presented, that of former deputy mayor Fausto Rossignoli and the most populous municipality in Valpolicella demonstrates, once again, how the election of the mayor represents a story in itself in the balance of national politics.
Meanwhile, the first news is that there will be no run-off, the great protagonist of the municipal elections in Negrar in the latest rounds. Two coalitions, two candidates, everything will end in the first round scheduled for the weekend of 8 and 9 June. But Negrar could represent a sort of laboratory for all of Veronese politics. Roberto Mancini on one side and Fausto Rossignoli on the other are supported by particular coalitions.
The first has three lists to support it, the strictly political ones of Fratelli d’Italia and Forza Italia and the civic one of former mayor Roberto Grison “Noi con Voi”, civic yes but with strong roots in the electorate of the center-left of Negrara. Rossignoli has five lists with him.
Civic forces are the Rossignoli list, Community and Territory as well as Negrar sei tu, but within the coalition the symbols of Verona Domani stand out, a force which in the Municipality of Verona is among the main opponents of the mayor Damiano Tommasi and the League which, with this choice, breaks the unity of the centre-right.
“Our presence – said MEP Paolo Borchia at Rossignoli’s presentation – is not against anyone but in favor of an administrator as prepared as Rossignoli. We chose the person.”
The president of Verona Domani Matteo Gasparato underlined the same.
“I have known Fausto for several years. We felt that he could be the right person because he is serious, competent and honest.”
No controversy therefore in the words of the two most “political” representatives but the thrust was made by the candidate himself. “My candidacy – said Rossignoli – starts from the bottom, from the needs of the people of Negrara and is in tune with this territory. That of my opponent, who I know personally and with whom I have excellent personal relationships, is instead a choice made far from Negrar, in the secretariats of the parties. I believe it is a substantial difference and one that the citizens of Negrar will have to take into account. Without forgetting that we already have a well-defined programme, that of the other coalition does not yet exist”.
