In Bolzano the Fere have never won: it’s time!

Put like this it seems almost impossible, another of those missions that is difficult to fulfill. A difficulty within the difficulty. Another wall to climb.

In fact, the numbers say that Ternana al Druso has never won. However, there is – at least this is true – the other side of the coin.

Ternana only played two matches in Bolzano. So we can say that it is almost unprecedented in our history.

The first time it was a defeat. 2-1, with De Canio as coach. It was December (therefore not a particularly good climate for playing football at certain latitudes) and Ternana immediately went behind and were already two goals down after half an hour. It was the Ternana team that should have won the championship with De Canio as coach but which instead collapsed on itself and which in December began to show the first serious problems which then led to the coach’s dismissal. Diakité was decisive in that match, but negatively, complicit in a performance to forget, with two individual errors that allowed Sudtirol to take the double lead.

The second – and last – time was last year, during Andreazzoli’s interregnum. It was a 0-0 without any particular emotions, in a very closed match. Ternana was still searching for his identity (which she then struggled to find regardless).

Now Bolzano again, for a match that is worth much more than the previous ones. Certainly for Ternana and for its future.
