assembly approves budget, over 300 million in guarantees

The Ordinary General Assembly of the members of COFIDI.IT soc. coop., convened via videoconference, unanimously approved the financial statements as at 31 December 2023, the Board of Directors’ Management Report, the Board of Statutory Auditors’ and Auditing Firm’s Reports: related and consequent resolutions.

In a year, like 2023, which is still not very stable for the Italian economy due to the recent tensions linked to the conflict in the Middle East which have introduced new elements of concern and uncertainty for the economic system, COFIDI.IT has confirmed its leadership. The 2023 financial year closed with a total of Supervisory Own Funds equal to €27,658,988 which produces a capital surplus of €19,763,070 and a solvency ratio of 21.02% well above the 6% defined and required by the supervisory provisions of the Bank of Italy. The profit for the year stood at €716,830, allocated to the indivisible reserve fund.
As of 31/12/2023 the outstanding guarantees amount to €317,694,855 of which €195,302,707 for investments, there are 14,517 member companies. 61.5% of the existing guarantees were granted to support the investments of member companies, an increase compared to the 60.6% recorded in 2022.

The guaranteed loans disbursed in 2023 amount to 100,515,126, of which €10,810,180 are loans granted directly by COFIDI.IT.
The Budget was illustrated to the Assembly by the General Director of COFIDI.IT Teresa Pellegrino: “We are among the consortiums that are growing the fastest in Italy – COFIDI.IT is the first consortium in the South and sixth in Italy – stated the Director – in the 2023 financial year investments are the main purpose of granting loans with our guarantee, for €54,162,103 followed by disbursements for current assets equal to €41,452,997″. COFIDI.IT – added the Director – has also adopted a three-year Action Plan for the integration of climate and environmental risks into its management paradigm, the promotion of the values ​​of mutuality, social and closeness to member companies, setting itself the mission to facilitate access to credit for the entrepreneurial realities of the South, without ever neglecting the importance of promoting a culture of gender equality”. It should be underlined that the issuing of sureties to public bodies continued in 2023, in addition to consultancy services and assistance which in 2023 were increased by 6% and developed revenues equal to €209,129″. The concentration of guaranteed loans disbursed in Puglia in the last financial year was 89.5%. “Despite the uncertainty of the macroeconomic framework, Cofidi.IT achieved a positive result thanks to constant monitoring and rapid adaptability of operational guidelines – stated the President Giuseppe Riccardi – we have achieved positive and important results, the Board of Directors is convinced that Cofidi will continue to support its member companies in the challenges of the coming years.
