The Como library donates the educational kit on Pliny the Elder to the pediatrics department of the Sant’Anna hospital.
This morning the Councilor for Culture of the Municipality of Como, Enrico Colombo, and the director of the municipal library “Paolo Borsellino”, Chiara Milani, presented the kit “Natural history in play – Between reality” to the department directed by Angelo Selicorni. and fantastic in the world of Pliny the Elder”.
Aimed at young people aged 8 to 12, the interactive volume was created on the occasion of the Pliny Bimillennial, whose celebrations will continue in Como throughout 2024 with the aim of commemorating the anniversary of the birth of Pliny the Elder.
“The game kit, which also tells about the foundation of our library, was donated to all the primary and secondary schools in the city – underlined the Colombo councilor – and our wish was that it also reached the children who have to spend time in hospital. We hope that Pliny’s adventures can keep them company.”
“This kit, with great educational and historical value – said Selicorni – will further enrich our library and will allow children to learn about illustrious people from Como while having fun”.
