The path of redevelopment of the Vicenza exhibition center Of Italian Exhibition Group reaches one new and fundamental intermediate stage: on the day of Yesterday, Monday 29 April 2024have in fact started i demolition work on pavilion 2.
“The demolition operation of pavilion 2 represents one milestones crucial in the entire project and takes place within the times established by the timetable”, the comment of theArch. Mario Vescovo, director of the Vicenza office of IEG and operations director of the same plant. “The demolition will be completed by the end of June and, after a further phase of ground preparation, construction work on the new pavilion will begin in September”.
Inaugurated in 1971, the pavilion represented the first building built from scratch intended to carry out trade fair activities for the city of Vicenza and remained in use until the Vicenzaoro January 2024 edition.
The occupied area, together with that on which pavilion 5 stood, demolished in March, will see the construction of the new building of approximately 22,000 m2 which will be completed in the first half of 2026.
