A guided tour of the interactive and cross-media exhibition itinerary “Palermo Felicissima”, which recounts a period of great changes which, between the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century, profoundly modified urban planning, the economic vocation and life culture of Palermo.

An extraordinary opening is scheduled for Wednesday 1 May, at 11.00, on the occasion of Labor Day.

A guided tour that combines advanced technologies and immersive installations to allow the visitor to interact with a large archive of information on the Belle Époque in Palermo and to discover places, people, events, architecture belonging to the city and which have now become legend.

Led by a specialized CoopCulture operator, you have the opportunity to live a fascinating and unique experience, thanks to the presence of interactive and multimedia supports and tools, which bring images, texts and videos to life.

A room also takes visitors on a multi-sensory journey that celebrates the floral and refined aesthetics of Art Nouveau with a 360° projection creating a kaleidoscope of bright colors and sinuous shapes, and a large curved and immersive screen projects an animated film which tells the story of the Florio family and finally, stations equipped with virtual reality viewers allow a “virtual walk” in Palermo at the end of the 19th century, faithfully reconstructed, restoring architectural scenarios of the time that no longer exist today.

Participation in the visit is free with purchase of the entrance ticket to the exhibition.
