A 37-year-old man, a Pakistani citizen, was arrested on charges of “aggravated sexual assault” for having molested children outside a school in Arezzo. The events date back to February 9th. According to investigators, the 37-year-old targeted a 10-year-old boy, kissing him on the cheek not far from the school. Subsequently, always as reported by The Republic, the man took a 6-year-old child away from his mother, taking advantage of a moment of distraction. Recordings from neighborhood surveillance cameras show the man walking away with the child. Afterwards, according to the child’s story to his mother, the 37-year-old took him to an isolated place, pulled down his trousers and molested him, before letting him go.
What happened
Investigators from the Arezzo mobile school have identified the pedophile. The man’s identity was confirmed by the children’s relatives. Investigations conducted by the police reveal that the 37-year-old had already been accused of a similar crime in the past, involving a child in another city. There are “serious indications of guilt” against him. The man was arrested and is currently in the Sollicciano prison, located in the western outskirts of Florence.
