Venice, Air Transat resumes flights to Toronto and Montreal

The Canadian company Air Transat resumes direct Italy-Canada flights from Venice Marco Polo airport: one route to Toronto, starting from 4 May, and the other to Montreal from Monday 6 May. They will be active throughout the summer, until October 2024.

«Venice airport represents a consolidated point of reference for Air Transat – comments Tiziana Della Serra of Rephouse Gsa, which represents the Canadian company in Italy – and continues to be strategic for the development of the North East basin. For this summer we have the novelty of doubling the connections from Venice to Toronto”.

In detail, Venice-Toronto flights restart on Saturday 4 May 2024 with one flight per week on Saturday and from 11 June 2 weekly flights on Saturday and Tuesday; the Venice-Montréal route restarts on Monday 6 May with 1 weekly flight on Monday and from 14 June there will be 2 weekly flights on Monday and Friday. All flights from Venice depart at approximately 1pm and have been planned to optimize the extensive network connectivity both in North America and southern Canada. Intercontinental flights from Venice are operated with Airbus A330-200 or Airbus 330-300.

«We are very satisfied – adds Camillo Bozzolo of Save – for the close collaboration relationship established with Air Transat, which in re-proposing the connections reactivated from 2022 in the current summer season, intensifies the frequencies by doubling the weekly flights to Toronto. For the catchment area of Venice airport, Canada constitutes an important market, with traffic volumes fueled by tourist and business flows and trips for family reunions.”
