Teramo: “Waiting for May Day” at the River Park

Starting from 5pm in the Davide De Carolis river park in Teramo, the spotlight will be on one of the most anticipated events of the year, “Waiting for the First of May”.

The music festival, now in its 15th edition, organized by the cultural association Big Match promises an afternoon and evening of great entertainment but also of reflection. From 5pm, the stage will welcome artists of the caliber of Rose Villain, Dargen D’Amico, Ditonellapiaga and Ken La Fen, with the grand finale entrusted to the DJ set by Marini&Ferrara. But “Waiting for May Day” is not just a musical event; it is also an opportunity to delve into important social issues such as rights, work and social issues, thanks to the contribution of trade union representatives and university students. The free event attracts thousands of people every year, with a maximum limit of 5000 participants. To ensure the success and safety of the event, precise rules have been established for access and behavior within the park area, in line with national regulations for large public events. The access gates will open to 5 p.m., with three main entry points and a centralized counting system to monitor inflows. To facilitate parking and reduce traffic, a special price has been agreed for nearby multi-storey car parks. For public safety, items such as suitcases, trolleys, large backpacks, spray cans, alcoholic beverages, cans, glass bottles, metal water bottles and large plastic bottles will be prohibited. The introduction of animals, selfie sticks, umbrellas, laser pens, drones, bicycles, skateboards, skates, tents, sleeping bags, stadium horns, weapons, explosive materials, fireworks and smoke bombs will also be prohibited. The event will be monitored by law enforcement and security and first aid personnel, thus ensuring a safe and pleasant experience for all participants.
