A man arrested Anzio for violence and repeated threats against his ex-wife. The man, a 39-year-old Italian, had in the past even attacked the woman with a billhook.
Abuse in the family
The couple had been separated for some time. The relationship between the two ended in 2021 due to the man’s violent behavior towards the woman.
The man had attacked his wife more than once, after abusing alcohol, exerting verbal and physical violence on her. He even attacked her with a billhook.
The violence did not stop even in front of the minor children, who more than once had to flee from home together with their mother.
For these reasons, in 2021 the woman decided to end the relationship with her violent spouse.
But the man was not resigned. A few days ago, with the excuse of wanting to get the dog back, he showed up near his ex-wife’s house and here he attacked her. Following the attack, the woman was forced to seek treatment in the emergency room of the Anzio hospital.
The intervention of the policemen from the Anzio – Nettuno police station
After also receiving death threats on her cell phone, the woman went to the Anzio – Nettuno police station and filed a complaint.
The police went to the home of the 39-year-old, already known to the police and already placed under house arrest in the past. The man, among other things, had already been reported by the woman in the past for being violent and aggressive.
The officers subjected the man’s home to a house search and found and seized a 50 cm machete and a switchblade.
Once the proceedings were completed, the man was arrested as he was seriously suspected of the crime of family abuse. The arrest, at the request of the Velletri Public Prosecutor’s Office, was validated.
