Grosseto. Conceived and organized by a group of young people, with the support of the Escargot association, and supported and desired by the municipal administration, Grosseto Music Project is preparing to experience the last stage of its journey with the Music Festival, renamed for the occasion Grosseto Music Fest, Saturday 18 May, from 4.00 pm until late at night, in the center of Grosseto.
After the three live evenings where the 12 bands selected by the jury led by maestro Mario Lavezzi performed live between the Teatro degli Industri and the Sala Eden, they reached the final four groups cwho will compete for the victory of the first Grosseto Music Contest: AriaNera, Minerva 40, Mokabird and the Milani/Artuso/Guastalli/Ferrone Jazz Quartet.
The project, which also saw the organization of six in-depth masterclasses, will experience a real day of celebration of music on the occasion of the Contest final, in which anyone can participate as an active part.
We will start in the afternoon, around 4.00 pm, with the Grosseto Music Street: musicians and singers from all over the area, registering by May 8th in the appropriate section on the website www.grmusicproject.itwill be able to take part in a peaceful invasion of the historic center of Grosseto to the sound of music.
Various stations will be identified throughout the heart of the city, where those who have signed up will be able to perform in turn: the Grosseto Philharmonic.
Everything will continue by shifting the attention to Garibaldi Bastion: from 5pm will be started Grosseto Music Fair, a mini music fair where associations, schools, shops, projects, festivals and any other reality related to the musical field, including emerging bands or artists, will be able to make themselves known and leave their contact details. Also in this case, to participate it will be necessary to register on the website in the section dedicated to the fair by May 10th.
At 5.30pm will start there Grosseto Music Jam, a real Jam Session where, whoever wants, can perform improvising together with other musicians. To participate, you can book on the site or directly on site on the day of the event.
At 6.00 pm will start Grosseto Music Live&Talka musical dialogue with the maestro Mario Lavezzi, the singer-songwriter La Luna and the producer Gianluca Capitani.
The. will also be set up throughout the day Grosseto Music Walla panel where the city’s bands, old and new, will be able to leave their signature or dedication, but also ideas for the future regarding the aspect of music in the city of Grosseto.
At the end of the afternoon, with DJ Shrek’s musical selection in the background, it will be possible to relax and enjoy the evening with aAperiMusic at the Sala Eden, where, at 9.30 pm, the final of the musical contest will be staged: special guests of the evening will be Miwa and its membersa historic cartoon band from Grosseto that will make the participants dance and have fun while waiting for the jury to reveal the final verdict.
“We’ll see some good ones – they comment the organizers of the project –, in fact, we will hear some good ones: we wanted to plan a party that had music at its centre. We want this day to be experienced by everyone as ‘their own’, that everyone feels like a protagonist and not a guest. Our goal is to gather as many music lovers as possible, young and old, to shout to the city and the territory that Grosseto is alive from a musical point of view.
