TREVISOThe guided tour program signed by IAT Treviso, the tourist office, with the Unpli Treviso provincial committee comes to life. In fact, with the arrival of the beautiful season and the spring long weekends, the offers and opportunities to discover the city from multiple points of view grow. There are two guided tour calendars in particular that will start in the next few days.

First, in order of time, The “Treviso city of art and water” tour is a true classic among guided tours that always receives much acclaim. On Wednesday 1st May the itinerary proposed by Iat and Unpli Treviso will start from the places sung by Dante in the Divine Comedy “where Sile and Cagnan accompany each other”, and will continue following the many waterways that cross Treviso and lead to the places most evocative of the city: the Sile, which envelops the Renaissance walls of the city and then continues its slow course up to the Venetian lagoon, and the Botteniga, which meanders among the houses of the historic center branching off into various canals, make this city unforgettable. Following their course and crossing some of the forty bridges built over the centuries, you will be able to admire the University area, the Buranelli, the ancient mills and suggestive views.

On Sunday 5 May you can take part in the penultimate appointment with the underground Treviso thanks to the tour “From door to door, above and below the Walls” the itinerary that allows you to discover the secrets of the Renaissance fortifications that embrace the city. A proposal signed by the Iat Treviso center office and UNPLI Treviso together with the Treviso Sotterranea Association thanks to a partnership that has lasted for four years now. The first part of the route includes a visit, by a tourist guide from the Marca Guides Association, of the stretch of walls from Porta Santi Quaranta to Porta San Tomaso. From there the Treviso Sotterranea operators will continue the journey, making the public discover the underground part of the fortifications. The last tour dedicated to underground Treviso will take place on Sunday 2 June. After this date, work on the city walls will begin, which will make the underground area inaccessible.
