Terni, new attempted coup at Coffee Time: «We’re fed up»

New coup, this time attempted, at the Coffee Time bar in via Martiri della Libertà, in Terni: around 00.30 on the night between Monday and Tuesday two men tried to force one of the armored glass entrance doors of the place with a bar. However, the attempts of the two were in vain, so much so that they had to give up, and then disappeared. All of this, among other things, happened while motorists were passing by, as evidenced by the images from the premises’ video surveillance cameras.

Exasperated owners

The thieves therefore left empty-handed, but the damage they caused was significant, given that two doors are now unusable. “We can’t take it anymore, we’re really tired of these constant blows” says the owner of the bar, Davide Liberati, who had already suffered two thefts in just five days at the beginning of April, in both cases with loot worth at least a thousand euros and other damages. «I am paying for an alarm that is twice as big as what we had before, but now it is necessary for the institutions, prefect or police commissioner, to do something to seriously address the issue of thefts from traders» he adds. Investigations into Tuesday’s episode are underway by the Carabinieri, who are examining video surveillance footage to trace the identity of the criminals, whose face is apparently covered by an envelope.
