This resolution should not be made, indeed it should not be discussed at all. This is the thesis put forward, through a preliminary ruling, by the councilors of Forlì and Co., Giorgio Calderoni and Federico Morgagni, regarding the agreement between the Municipality of Forlì and that of Castrocaro on the associated management of the local police, which was discussed yesterday in the last municipal council of the legislature in Forlì. Precisely the date, April 29th, was decisive with respect to whether or not the issue could be discussed according to Forlì and Co. “In the 45 days preceding the elections – explained Calderoni – the municipal council cannot vote on acts that are not urgent or that may cause damage to the entity, in this case there is neither urgency nor damage”.
The municipal secretary Luca Uguccioni then explained that the urgency would be given by the fact that the Municipality of Castrocaro, having left the management of the local police with the Union of Municipalities of Romagna Forlivese, is in the absolute necessity of reaching this agreement by 1 ° July, the date on which he would find himself with only two agents. The majority voted unanimously to reject the preliminary ruling, thus bringing to the vote the resolution that leads to the associated management of the service. A service that will be paid by the Municipality of Castrocaro 12,000 euros per year. A figure that seemed negligible to the opposition councilors, also pointing out that “after leaving the Union of Municipalities, we are now back to talking about associated management”. For their part, the majority councilors instead recalled how “the Union is a failure, also sanctioned by the Region, but there has been no alternative proposal from the opposition”. A discussion that brought the resolution to the vote, but with the Forlì e Co group announcing that it did not want to participate: “We will bring the issue to the Prefecture and the Region” explained the group leader Morgagni. The resolution was then passed unanimously by those present.
The discussion on the 2023 budget was instead an opportunity to begin greetings from various councilors, especially those who will certainly not sit on the same benches in the next council meeting because they are not candidates in the lists that are being formed and which will have to be presented on 9 and 10 May. Like the leader of the PD group, Soufian Hafi Alemani, who chose not to stand for re-election and almost moved, thanked everyone present for the positive and formative experience he had: same register for the dem Jacopo Zanotti, and on the opposite benches for Davide Minutillo of the centre-right for Forlì . Bipartisan feelings that almost meant a truce. To close the thanks and greetings, the mayor Gian Luca Zattini and the president of the city council, Alessandra Ascari Raccagni.
