A singular and interesting discovery occurred last night, just before dinner time. Emiliano Manganelli, together with colleagues from the national association of state police, Civitavecchia group, walking around the Marina, noticed something strange in the transparent backdrops behind the Statue of the Kiss.

It was a part of a marble statue, about seventy centimeters high, which was lying about two meters deep. The association worked to bring her to the ground, tying her with ropes.

The statue was later recovered by the harbor master’s office, who kept it overnight. Today it should be transferred to the archaeological museum, awaiting its in-depth evaluation.
