Mutual aid plan between “Gonzaga” and Local Health Authority 2. On the morning of Monday 29 April, in the barracks in Viale Mezzetti, the commander of the CSrne of Foligno, General Giorgio Guariglia, and the general director of Local Health Authority Umbria 2 Piero Carsili signed the document with which the agreement between the two institutions was renewed. An agreement, with first approval in 2012 and subsequent renewals (2015, 2018 and 2020) up to the current one, which provides for the development of numerous mutually useful activities (without increasing costs), also aimed at improving the preparation of healthcare personnel both structures involved. A collaboration which provides for the CSRN (compatibly with the institutional needs of the Center and within the normal hours of service), that all health personnel in force can provide their professional work at the health facilities of the Umbria 2 local health authority, and the provision by the Recruitment Center of its infrastructures and rooms for the holding of CME (Continuing Medical Education) training events, competitions and conferences for institutional purposes. On the other hand, USL Umbria 2 undertakes to use military healthcare personnel in specific activities of their respective personal qualification, to employ medical officers in specialist clinics (according to their respective specialties) also for a possible reduction of waiting lists, to guarantee insurance coverage for professional liability towards third parties for any damage caused (excluding those with liability due to gross negligence), provide the CSRN with specialists in cases where their contribution is required in an “emergency” (sudden unavailability of specialist medical officers) in order to avoid the interruption of competition activities and provide, if necessary, a preferential lane for candidates in carrying out medical tests that cannot be carried out within the CSRNE.
“An important adaptation – specified the commander of the CSrne of Foligno, Giorgio Guariglia – is that of the agreement in place with Local Health Authority Umbria 2 which provides specialist support in the healthcare sector. Adaptation because needs have changed over the years, also in relation to the national and international situation. The agreement is a powerful tool, a reason both for support and for mutual scientific exchange thanks to obtaining the participation of our staff in CMEs (continuing medical education training events), which we reciprocate by making our facilities available for carrying out these activities”.
It is “an important union of silent help and collaboration between public administrations – underlined the general director of the USL Umbria 2, Piero Carsili – who by making the best resources available, collaborate to achieve important objectives that would be difficult to achieve individually individually with their own resources. A synergy – he continued – with the CSRN gives us the possibility of having further forces to deploy and having breathing space”.
Also present at the signing of the agreement were Dr. Orietta Rossi, new medical director of the “San Giovanni Battista” hospital and Dr. Mauro Zampolini, outgoing medical director of the “San Giovanni Battista” hospital in Foligno and current director of the Rehabilitation department of the Foligno hospital .
