This is what we read in a note from the coalition for mayor Flavio Stasi. “The facts today – he continues – speak of a concrete intervention that will immediately change the image of the city projected externally. Thanks to the municipal administration led by Flavio Stasi, thanks to his capacity for perspective and desire to do, subverting clichés without submitting to them, today, after decades of waiting, the useless monument to nothingness of the never-built flyover in the Insiti district was demolished with bulldozers.
The pillars and access ramps, symbol of the deplorable practice of unfinished buildings in Calabria, will disappear to make room for a real work connecting and serving two other strategic works for the development of Corigliano-Rossano, namely the new hospital and the large equipped urban park that will be built in the area of the Insiti sports complex, also returned to the community thanks to the determination of Flavio Stasi and his government team. The pylons of the phantom flyover remained there for decades and the process for its demolition was stuck in general indifference”. “This administration – concludes the note – has not stood by and watched and without pointing fingers in search of culprits, it has thought about working for the common good, bringing results.
