The graduation session took place today at the headquarters of the Local Health Authority for the students of the Nursing faculty of the University of Foggia, the training center of Matera.

In today’s session, 8 new professional nurses graduated who will soon enter the world of the profession in an increasingly important and recognized role. The ceremony of proclamation and awarding of degrees took place in the presence of the Extraordinary Commissioner of the ASM, Maurizio Friolo, of the Manager of the simple departmental operational unit Quality, Accreditation and Service for Health and Social Professions of the ASM, Angela Braia, and of the representatives of the University of Foggia. In sending his best wishes to the 8 new doctors, Commissioner Friolo underlined that the figure of the nurse is at the center of the health service, together with doctors and social health assistants.

“The nurse – added Friolo – is the figure who has grown the most in terms of professionalism. Today, the maintenance of any healthcare facility is based on the support of nurses. The job market offers many opportunities in both the public and private sectors where young nurses have the opportunity to be involved in clinical research, identifying new treatments and improving care practices. It is a profession that requires a great human contribution and many sacrifices but can also give multiple satisfactions. I wish these young people to continue their life journey with enthusiasm, aware of being able to make the most of the professional skills acquired in this structure and hoping that the new graduates can practice their profession in our ASM”.
