The Taranto ruling is a long time coming, the start of the playoffs will be delayed by a few days
It’s only three days late. The start date of the Serie C Playoffs will not be May 4th (as initially established) but the May 7. The starting date of the marathon to win is subject to change the latest promotion in Serie B, the reasons fall entirely on the time necessary for the outcome of Taranto’s appeal to the Guarantee Board at CONI. The hearing, thanks to the cooperation of the Apulian club and the FIGC, will be held on Friday May 3 at 2.30pm, while the sentence is expected for the evening. Taranto which therefore seriously risks the confirmation of the 4 penalty points awarded by the Federal Court of Appeal relating to administrative irregularities committed in the period of September-October 2023.
The playoffs will end on June 9th, the home and away semi-finals will be on May 29th and June 2nd respectively while the first act of the long-awaited final will be staged on June 5th. No postponement is foreseen for the playouts and the Super Cup between Mantua and Cesena, while on May 12th the triangular of the promoted teams will continue with Juve Stabia who will face the loser of the first match.
