Kustom Road at the ribbons, or rather on the starting grid. The event dedicated to two (and this year also to four) wheels returns to MalpensaFiere from Friday 3 to Sunday 5 May.
And it’s a homecoming for the event organized by Moto Club SS 33 Sempione which, after its debut in 2010 in Castano Primo, has always been held in Busto Arsizio with the exception of the last two years, in which it was staged on “La Pista” in Lainate.
The thirteenth edition will be held in the new guise of Hot Motor’s Week, thanks to the combination with Fashion and Tuning, which has itself reached its nineteenth edition. Motorcycles and cars, including drifting, stuntmen, performances and other “goodies”. And also lots of music, starting with the Modena City Ramblers concert. Charity is the protagonist this time too.
«We hope to bring at least 20 thousand people to the area», say the organizers.

The program

Hot Motor’s Week opens on Friday at 5pm and the Drift Night show will take place at 8pm. At 9pm there will be space for the folk music of the Modena City Ramblers, who will bring a stage of their tour to Busto. The evening will end with the Magica Party DJ set.

The event continues on Saturday from 10am to midnight and on Sunday from 10am to 7pm. It will be a succession of shows and performances including drifting, stuntman, freestyle and exhibitions.
Of note are the cars battle by Fashion and Tuning and the kustom fight by Kustom Road: two beauty competitions between motorcycles and customized cars present in the exhibition center, prepared by specialists in the sector.

More music on Saturday with “Deeva”, Modà tribute group with two actual musicians of the pop band, Stefano Forcella and Claudio Dirani. To close the day, the fluorescent party with the music of DJ Stefy De Cicco.
Appointment confirmed with Country Road Festival, which will celebrate its tenth edition.
On Saturday and Sunday there will also be a competition with the boys (and girls) of the National arm wrestling federation.
Over three hundred “vehicles” on display. And there will be a children’s area, kitchen, association stands and even a Miss competition. The detailed program on the Kustom Road website and social networks.

Charity at the centre

As per tradition, the beneficial aspect is central. Part of the proceeds will go to support the Astro-Nets project, a new objective of the Heal Foundation achieved with the “Carlo Besta” Neurological Institute of Milan and the SME Deep Blue. An initiative that allows neurosurgeons to use cutting-edge technologies to allow them to simulate the operation until they find the best solution.
Not only that: the synergy with the Heal Foundation has already brought a solidarity taxi available to families who need a “lift” for pediatric oncology treatment. The objective is to expand the solidarity fleet.

«Busto is a highly attractive city»

«We returned to Busto with great desire and we immediately found enthusiasm from the city and the operators – says Raffaele De Nicola, president of the Moto Club SS 33 Sempione –. The meeting with Riki Nicosanti of Fashion and Tuning allowed us to renew ourselves and open up to the world of four wheels.”
A boom in attendance is expected, with benefits for the entire industry: «We hope to bring at least 20 thousand people to the area and many of these will stay in the city – reveals De Nicola –. All the facilities we involved were already full last week. Many people come from far away and we have provided them with information about the city and the restaurant options.”

«There are many biker fairs and parties, but this one has a particular history – underlines the mayor Emanuele Antonelli, a passionate biker -. The organizers have great credibility and the fact that the proceeds go to charity makes me happy proud to be their friend. This is a wonderful world of solidarity. We missed them for two years and I hope they can remain in the area forever.”

Welcoming them back is a more receptive Busto: «We have increased the potential in this respect – explains the deputy mayor and councilor for Commerce Manuela Maffioli –. The beds have doubled and another large facility has been opened. We are waiting for December for a balance sheet, but in these first months of the year new requests for openings and expansions are arriving. Today Busto has a better chance of retaining valuable presences in the area. If it is not a tourist city, it is undoubtedly a highly attractive city.”
