On the D08 Gallarate-Gattico branchto allow ordinary maintenance work, the following closure measures will be adopted: from 10pm on Thursday 2nd to 5am on Friday 3rd May, will be the section between the connection with the A8 Milan-Varese and Castelletto Ticino is closed, towards the A26 Genova Voltri-Gravellona Toce. It should be noted that the Besnate and Sesto Calende Vergiate stations will be closed on entry in both directions towards the A26 and in the direction of the A8 Milan-Varese.
Consequently, the connection branches from the A8 coming from Milan and Varese to the D08 Gallarate-Gattico branch will be closed. Alternatively we recommend: to close the section, anticipate the exit on the A8 at Gallarate, at km 29+900, merge onto the SS33 del Sempione, towards Somma Lombardo-Vergiate-Sesto Calende-Castelletto Ticino and enter the Gallarate-Gattico branch at the Castelletto station Ticino;
for the closure of the entrance to the Besnate and Sesto Calende Vergiate stations, towards the A26: Castelletto Ticino, at km 17+900 of the branch; for the closure of the entrance to the Besnate and Sesto Calende Vergiate stations, towards the A8/Milan: Gallarate, at km 29+900 of the A8; for the closure of the entrance to the Besnate and Sesto Calende Vergiate stations towards the A8/Varese: Cavaria, at km 33+900 of the A8;
Furthermore, from 10pm on Friday 3rd to 5am on Saturday 4th Maywill be the section between the connection with the A8 Milan-Varese and Sesto Calende Vergiate is closed, towards the A26 Genova Voltri-Gravellona Toce. It should be noted that Besnate station will be closed on entry in both directions, towards the A26 and towards the A8 Milan-Varese. Consequently, the connection branches from the A8 coming from Milan and Varese to the D08 Gallarate-Gattico branch will be closed.
Alternatively we recommend: to close the section, exit early on the A8 at Gallarate, at km 29+900, take the SS33 del Sempione towards Somma Lombardo-Vergiate-Sesto Calende and enter the Gallarate-Gattico branch at the Sesto Calende Vergiate station ; for the closure of the Besnate station entrance, towards the A26: Sesto Calende Vergiate, at km 12+000; for the closure of the Besnate station entrance, towards the A8/Milan: Gallarate, at km 29+900 of the A8; for the closure of the entrance to the Besnate station, towards the A8/Varese: Cavaria, at km 33+900 of the A8;
On the two nights of Thursday 2nd and Friday 3rd May, from 9pm to 5am, the “Verbano est” service area will be closedlocated in the aforementioned closed sections.
