MANTOVA – The draft agreement for a cultural and promotional synergy with Vicenza is ready, after the mayor Mattia Palazzi entered into agreements with the Vicenza mayor Giacomo Possamai in recent months. The general objective provides for joint actions of mutual promotion and valorisation of the territories of Mantua and Vicenza to be integrated with further shared actions and projects.
The parties undertake to collaborate in the launch and implementation of a preliminarily shared program with general guidelines for planning the activities necessary to ensure its launch and regular execution. To this end, Mantua and Vicenza undertake to set up a working group in which each party participates through its own representative, with the aim of directing and evaluating the results, through joint periodic checks.
In detail, both municipalities synergistically aim to mutually promote cultural and tourist resources through their own communication channels (websites, social networks, Infopoints). Joint actions are contemplated for the promotion of the respective territories; the promotion of the respective tools for visiting and using museums and tourist services; the planning and implementation of cycle-tourist itineraries connecting the two cities starting from common historical, cultural and food and wine themes, also in collaboration with other cities and entities affected by the route. The agreement also includes connection actions between the respective library networks, exchanges of experiences and good practices, through working tables, workshops or other forms of synergies, as well as cultural exchanges between citizens and associations.
