The new Treviso hospital car park opens: leaflet against paid parking | Today Treviso | News

TREVISO – Today, 29 April, on the occasion of the opening of the new car park of the Cà Foncello hospital in Treviso 400 parking spaces for users, Civic Coalition created protest leaflets against the payment of parking for those who have to go to hospital.

“Today’s leaflet concerns a situation that is now widespread and which also reaches our city; that of having paid parking outside the hospital and free parking in shopping centers. As is known, in fact, the cost of the new hospital park is 50 cents per hour for the first three hours and, for the following hours, rises to 1 euro per hour. So anyone who has to go to hospital for a health service or to visit a patient will always have to pay, even if they park for a few minutes, half an hour or an hour”, he explains in a note. Civic Coalition for Treviso.

“For what reason? Because the car park was built as part of the project financing for the renovation of the hospital andtherefore, it must “give” something to the company that holds the concession to construct the buildings and the car park and the management of the non-health services of the new complex”. “Didn’t the Region have the money for the new hospital? He found them for the Pedemontana and for the bobsleigh track in Cortina, he could also find them for the Treviso hospital: it’s not a question of “lack of money”, it’s a question of choices and priorities. In Veneto the priority is the Pedemontana and not the hospitals. Parking, however, is free in shopping centers and outside the many supermarkets that already exist in the city and those that will continue to be open in the coming years, given that the municipal administration is not putting a stop to their proliferation in the city area” .
