The regional road championships valid for qualification for the relevant Italian championships took place on Sunday.
The Maremma boys brought home 4 gold, 4 silver and 3 bronze
The athletes taking to the track are: Bianchini Elena, bronze in the very young category while her category partner Mema Querime, in her first months of activity, placed seventh. Excellent fifth place for Tei Jessica, also in the year in which she runs with the athletes one year older.
Baricci Chiara is confirmed as category leader, with 2 regional titles in the girls 12 category, and Baricci Giulia with 2 regional titles in the girls category.
An excellent fourth place for Bianchini Agata in the 2000 meters with points which earned her qualification for the Italian championship.
Spectacular second place for Baricci Alessia, who, following her partner Giulia, achieved a double in the sprint, leaving her Sienese opponents behind.
In the men’s category, Alessandro Borracelli confirmed himself among the fastest with a silver and a bronze.
In the men’s category, Giacomo Zinali confirmed his skills as a long-distance runner by winning silver in the 3000 meters with points.
Also good were the performances of Sara Ferrandi, 2 tenths out of qualifying for the Italians and Simone Colitta, who has only recently been on skates but who always shows improvements from time to time.
The team is a small team and despite having fewer athletes compared to the others, it ranks third in the entire region.
In 20 days the Maremma skaters will be present at the Italian championship in Paderno d’Adda.
