The League councilor Simona Sommi, who has always been very active in the Council, announces her re-nomination, still within the ranks of Salvini’s party. “In announcing my candidacy – explains Sommi –, I confirm my constant commitment to the city and to my party for the administrative elections in Cremona. As the outgoing group leader, I am proud to run on the League list in support of Alessandro Portesani, candidate for mayor of the centre-right coalition. My commitment in the last five years in the City Council has been intense and I underline the high number of presences of the League in the Council and in the Commissions, together with Alessandro Fanti. The questions, agendas and motions we presented were numerous and qualitatively relevant.”
The representative of the League continues: “There are many people from Cremona that I have met in recent years: entrepreneurs, traders, artisans, pensioners, housewives, workers. Each of them spoke to me about their idea of the city, the problems and possible solutions, which I translated into my commitment to the Council. For this reason, I firmly intend to continue the path undertaken in recent years, still making myself available. I think of our beautiful Cremona, of how it was. I think of it with the nostalgia of many Cremonese who were born and raised there and who today perceive it as neglected, with a dying center and unsafe”.
“Of course, times change – concludes Sommi –, but the idea I have of my city is that of a Cremona with solid roots, a place that we leave only to return and make it great and beautiful for our children. Moreover. I imagine a Cremona that can become attractive for its economic fabric, tourism, the desire to undertake and study. For this reason it is necessary to love this city day after day through attention to the ordinary maintenance of the streets, parks and all the places that belong to the citizens. The same attention must be paid to people, their needs and the right to live the city peacefully. All this is possible by starting a journey towards change, together with those who have the same desire as me to do good for this city of ours.”
In addition to Sommi, on the list with the League, as has emerged some time ago, there will be two members of the first hour, the former councilor Jane Alquati and the former councilor Giacomo Zaffanella.
