VIDEO Padua, false contracts for 18 million euros: 30 reported

The Yellow Flames of Treviso they concluded an investigation which covered the Padua Agro-Food Market, discovering false service procurement contracts, for 18 million euros, used for masking illicit outsourcing of workers, dedicated to the loading and unloading of fruit and vegetables. 30 entrepreneurs reported for fraudulent supply of labor (two of them also for issuing and using invoices for legally non-existent economic operations), while two companies were reported for administrative liability dependent on crime, as the tax violations were committed in their interest and to the advantage of part of the administrators. On an administrative level, sanctions of 2.5 million euros were imposed for offenses relating to the violation of labor legislation.

The there are 29 companies involved in the fraudincluding 2 companies from Treviso, active in the logistics sector (employing around 150 workers and an overall average annual turnover of 6 million euros) and 27 client companies, located between the provinces of Padua, Rovigo, Treviso and Venice, of which 23 are active at the MAAP in Padua.
