The activities of the “Lilli Funaro” Foundation continue unabated, having been committed for twenty years to supporting – through its scholarships – scientific research initiatives for the fight against tumors and for the promotion of activities that enhance social solidarity, civil and cultural. “A Sunday with Lilli” for a supportive and welcoming Calabria – it is said in a note from the Foundation – is an initiative that aims to bring together the city community through the sharing of spaces dedicated to theater and music. The Lilli Foundation presents “Scoop (Donna Sapiens)”, the new show by and with Job Covattawritten together with Paola Catella and produced by Mismaonda, scheduled Sunday 5 May in the outdoor space of the church of Sant’Aniello Abate in via Panebianco, from 3.30pm to 6pm, with free entry to Cosenza.

Funaro: «Choice to consolidate the sense of solidarity»

«The choice to give citizens a popular afternoon of theater and music – he explains Michele Funaro of the Lilli Foundation – is because we are convinced that even through this type of sharing people can consolidate a sense of community and solidarity. Precisely for this reason we are happy to propose the “Banda della Posta” of Calitri, with its curious and much loved history, because not only music, in general, always underlines some moments of our lives, but that of the Band in particular, brings us it helps to remember that the simple things are also the most lasting.”
«The presence of Giobbe Covatta, to whom we are grateful – he adds – is very significant for us since we move in some way on the same terrain of the social issues that he knows well, and supports in a direct and active way also through his theater made of humor intelligent and provocative.”
«The shows on Sunday 5 May were conceived by the organizers – it is said in the note – as a real celebration, the beautiful ones of the past, which animate entire neighborhoods and welcome a large but indefinite presence of people. Precisely for this reason, the hashtag was launched so that those who wish to attend the show “in comfort” or rest between one dance and another, will be able to bring their own chair from home, just as happens in the town squares ».
