Police chief of Bolzano orders the expulsion of a foreign criminal
On Saturday morning, during the usual checks, a police car, while passing through Via Roma in Bolzano, spotted a man quickly moving away at the sight of the police car. Reached and stopped by the Agents, when asked for explanations, the man responded evasively, so the suspicious Agents accompanied him to the Largo Palatucci offices to identify him. It didn’t take much and the police verified that the man, AM, a 19-year-old Tunisian citizen, has a criminal and police record of various nature and seriousness, that he had landed on Pantelleria in September 2022 and that he had obtained a permit from the Caserta Police Headquarters of Stay, subsequently expired and not renewed. Furthermore, it came to light at the police station that shortly after his arrival in Italy the man had been reported for theft and more recently, in January this year, in Padua, he had been reported again for possession for the purpose of dealing cocaine. In Bolzano last month the Tunisian was once again caught in possession of drugs on the lawns of Lungo Talvera by police officers and reported to the Judicial Authority for possession for the purpose of dealing drugs.
At the end of the Judicial Police activities, the Police Commissioner of Bolzano issued an expulsion decree against the young Tunisian with a simultaneous Detention Order at the Gradisca d’Isonzo Repatriation Permanence Center in Gorizia, where already on Saturday evening he was escorted by police officers waiting to be boarded as soon as possible on a direct flight to his country of origin.
