PAVIA – Un First of May full of music, debates and civil commitment awaits the people of Pavia at Scala district, at the Cesare Volta Theatre. The event, organized by CGIL, CISL and UIL, will be held from 3pm to 11pm on May 1st and will be the opportunity to celebrate Labor Day in the name of solidarity, reflection and fun.

The day’s musical program includes a wide variety of genres, from classic Italian singer-songwriters of the seventies to rock, through folk and popular music. The group will take the stage Bataquaerchthe duet Pieces of 90 composed of the Callegari brothers, Tusco, DJ Ghost, the band Court of Miracles, Antonio Carta hey Vibe. An explosive mix of sounds that will involve and excite audiences of all ages.

In addition to music, there will be space for street food, debate and reflection. During the day, speeches will be held on highly topical issues, such as the scourge of deaths at work and the need for an adequate minimum wage. We will also discuss the project for the introduction of a minimum wage of 9 euros an hour, promoted by the Democratic Party, with the aim of combating exploitation and protecting the dignity of workers.

May Day in the Scala district will be a moment of celebration and sharing, but also an opportunity to reflect on the challenges that the world of work is facing and to reiterate the commitment to building a more just and supportive society.
