In just over an hour the GLS Salerno Guiscards liquidates the Pontecagnano practice and wins the eighteenth consecutive victory, closing the regular season in the best possible way.
The final starts next Saturday playoffs against Volley World, to which the foxes arrive on the wings of enthusiasm and full of energy, aware of being a solid group capable of reaching the seasonal goal.
The match against Pontecagnano is, in this sense, yet another confirmation. While changing the lineup, with coach Cacace who tried different solutions, giving space to those who played less in this regular season, the result does not change. With From Genua and Miglino banda, GLS starts the match by calmly managing the situation while Pontecagnano also takes the lead at 8-10. Then the leaders with Sorrento and Miglino scores six consecutive points.
The guests try to react but coach Cacace’s team accelerates with Corallo and Di Genua, drawing applause from the Senatore audience, while Elisa Di Nicuolo’s ace closes the set which sets the score at 25-15. In the second set space for Vitiello and Sergio instead of Corallo and Di Nicuolo. Pontecagnano tries to get back into the set, but Vitiello and Miglino score repeatedly, putting the GLS at 18-11. The final of the set is a pure catwalk for the Foxes who close 25-15 and then celebrate first place in the standings and access to the final for Serie B2. «This was an irrelevant match for the purposes of the ranking – declared coach Paolo Cacace at the end of the match – for both teams but I still asked the girls to have the same incisiveness, the right approach and to develop our game and the answers are been satisfactory.

It starts on May 4th in Naples, while Race 2 will take place on May 8th at Senatore.
On May 11th, Game 3 will still be on Neapolitan soil, while the possible Game 4 would be played on the 15th in Salerno and the equally possible Game 5 on the 18th in Naples.
