Incomes growing but still too low

Poor and not even beautiful. It is the condition of the city of the popes a year and a half after the installation of the new civic administration, which should have changed the characteristics of the capital.

Data on poverty released by the Ministry of Economy and Finance

If, despite the presence of a branch councillor, the lost beauty of Viterbo is highlighted by the unseemly, if not pitiful, conditions in which Viterbo welcomed tourists during this long spring break, the latest data released by the ministry instead speak about poverty of Economy and Finance.

Viterbo in 69th place among the provincial capitals

The average income of the people of Viterbo in 2022 was 21,400 euros, 69th place among the Italian provincial capitals and penultimate at a regional level. In Lazio only the inhabitants of Latina earn less: 21,295 euros. In first place is Rome which, with 27,206 euros a year, is among the richest cities in Italy (twelfth place), even if far behind the first in the class, Milan (in the shadow of the Madonnina the income reaches 35,282 euros). In second place in the regional ranking we find Rieti with 22,297 euros, in third Frosinone with 22,054.

The capital consoles itself with the provincial ranking

But since the monoculi in terra caecorum are blessed, the capital of Tuscia can console itself with the provincial ranking, in which it stands out: 21,400 euros, 880 more than in 2021. In second place, among the largest municipalities, we find Tarquinia with 19,954 euros (increasing by 984 euros compared to the previous year).
Civita Castellana, the epicenter of the ceramic district, once the richest city in the province, stops at 19,752, but with a very respectable increase compared to the previous year: 1,118 euros.
