Salernitana’s form is almost like a horror movie, Friday’s defeat against Frosinone it’s yet another “outburst” that the fans, because only they, can’t digest, rightly so. The numbers are terrible, between the last victory and the goals scored, certifying that the Granata team has already gone on full vacation.
Let’s start with the 3 points, Salernitana hasn’t uttered the word “victory” since last December 30th, when Inzaghi’s men prevailed in the last match of 2023 on the Verona pitch 0-1 thanks to a goal in the second half of Tchaouna. For a home victory we have to go back even further, to November 25th, when the Granata beat Lazio 2-1 (the only home success of the championship other than the Italian Cup win against Sampdoria).
Despite the goal that occasionally succeeds, Salernitana’s sieve defense ruins every offensive effort, colossal sleepers, individual errors and the “mappazzone” is served. At least for the end of the championship, we hope to see the victory again, at least one, we don’t feel like we’re asking for so much to bid farewell to Serie A in the short term, which this year has given Salernitana many chances to save itself, but without ever taking advantage of them, a diktat that unfortunately has been going on since the beginning of the season, without ever positive results.
