The brawl took place in Lecce, between via dei Perroni and via Regina Maria, near Porta San Biagio. And for that brawl, two young people, TO THE21 year old originally from Campi Salentina, e GR23 year old originally from Molfetta, both residents of the Salento capital, ended up in prison. But the trial ended with acquittal.

It was the judge of the first criminal section who issued the verdict, with contextual reasons Court of Lecce, Annalisa De Benedictis. The facts date back to July 4, 2022: According to the investigations, directed by the deputy prosecutor Giorgia Villa and resulting in the summons for trial, the two apparently took part in the clashes, during which a bladed weapon was also used. It was the 23-year-old who suffered the worst consequences, who was injured in the left side of his chest.

Upon the arrival of the agents of the Steering wheels there was a general stampede and the stabbed boy was found near the church of San Matteo, wearing only his boxers and one shoe. Socco was accompanied to the hospital Fazzi of Lecce and for him the prognosis was 10 days. By viewing the videos taken by surveillance cameras in the area, the investigators managed to trace the number of participants and identify one of them, a 21-year-old, a friend of the 23-year-old who was injured.

The prosecution failed to demonstrate the validity of the thesis and the accused, defended by the lawyers Raffaele Benfatto, Raffaele Di Staso and Federico Zullinowere acquitted: for the judge, their identification “was incomplete”while from the videos it cannot be ruled out “that they had only participated in the brawl to defend themselves”.
