Eurizon Under 17 closes the season with a beautiful performance on the pitch of Olimpia Milano, undefeated leaders in Group E of the Interregional Phase. The Bianconeri initially suffered from the physicality of the locals, who kept the pace high in attack and flew to 25-17 at the end of the first half. Udine takes the measure against Olimpia in the second quarter, where the Bianconeri manage to get back to -10 after suffering an initial setback from the Milanese. In the third quarter Apu grits its teeth and improves its defensive contribution to the match, but Olimpia scores an important break in the first minutes of the final period, reaching its maximum lead at +21. Udine didn’t give up and began a great comeback, where the Friulians recovered until they were within -7 one minute from the end. However, Olimpia manages to manage the advantage in the final and win 84-77.
Udine therefore finishes the Interregional Phase of the Under 17 Eccellenza Championship in fifth place, demonstrating notable progress and reaping the results of the weekly work in the gym!
