In Petrosino, on the occasion of the last municipal council meeting on 23 April, the resignation from the position of Municipal Councilor of Dr. Franco Pellegrino was announced. In his resignation letter, Dr. Pellegrino refers to exclusively personal reasons and thanks the mayor for the trust and esteem that will remain, he underlines, also for the future. The former councilor extends his thanks to all his colleagues on the council and to both the majority and opposition municipal councilors.

During his mandate, Councilor Pellegrino worked with dedication and passion, contributing to the well-being and development of our territory. The calmness, commitment and institutional grace with which Councilor Pellegrino has worked in recent months will remain for me an example and a figure with which to face the thousand administrative tasks on a daily basis.
While I respect his decision to embark on new paths and wish him the best for the future, I want to express our gratitude for his commitment and the values he has embodied in his role.”
