The 20 scores two goals in the 2-0 to celebrate the 20th Scudetto. Inter doesn’t spoil the party and also beats Torino thanks to Calhanoglu, who scores a brace at the start of the second half which knocks out the Granata on the day of celebrations for the second star. A one-two in the space of three minutes which allows Simone Inzaghi’s men to celebrate in the best possible way the tricolor won a week ago after the victory in the derby against Milan, now sunk to -19 in the standings with Juventus even at -24 after the draw in the direct clash. Furthermore, the atmosphere is one of great celebration, between the ‘pasillo de honor’ of the Granata before the match for the Nerazzurri and the Curva Nord which pays homage to its heroes throughout the match. On the day of the historic first of a female refereeing trio, Inzaghi also becomes the protagonist, because he responds to yet another chorus of fans by jumping with a smile that grows ever wider, because the tricolor bears his indelible signature. On the pitch, despite everything, the day of celebration was a little less noticeable. Partly because Torino was still aiming for Europe and didn’t really want to just be a sparring partnerwhile Inter however had other records in their sights (starting from 100 points in the standings, an objective which however will require four victories in the last four matchdays) but above all they wanted to celebrate in the best possible way.

The pace, however, isn’t great, even if the Granata try several times to hurt the Nerazzurri. Rodriguez was the first to warm Sommer’s hands with a right-footed shot from central distance, while on the other side Thuram wasted the ball for the lead by kicking high after setting Bellanova down. The most dangerous, however, is Zapata, first with a central right to close a counterattack and then with a header to the side. However, the game changed at the start of the second half, when after just over a minute Tameze knocked out Mkhitaryan as he launched towards the goal: after a review at the VAR, the red card was given for the Granata midfielder, with Juric’s team thus finding themselves numerically inferior. Inter revs up the engine and unsurprisingly breaks the deadlock: Mkhitaryan finds the right opening to serve Calhanoglu, a left-footed player with the Nerazzurri ahead. Inzaghi’s team doesn’t stop, a combination with De Vrij sends Thuram through on goal, who is brought down in the area by Lovato with a slide: from the spot Calhanoglu scores his personal brace, displacing Milinkovic Savic with the tenth goal out of ten penalties kicked this year in the championship (in a streak of 16 consecutive penalty goals scored). The last half hour definitely turns into a party, with Inzaghi who gives a standing ovation to his big names (except Lautaro who hunts in vain for the goal) before receiving the embrace of the entire fans who have come from all over Italy in the championship parade with the open top bus through the streets of Milan.
